We were incredibly excited that this year we were able to finally get together to celebrate the enormous hard work of colleagues right across {my}dentist at our Excellence Awards.

The {my}dentist Excellence Awards recognise the outstanding individuals and teams whose commitment to patient care and professional development continues to raise standards at {my}dentist and in their profession.
‍
After two years of presenting the Excellence Awards virtually, this was the first time since 2019 where we celebrated together, recognising your achievements.
‍
This year’s event was held on Friday 14 October, at Birmingham’s ICC, as part of CLINCON22.

Over the past 12 months, we have once again, come together to give our patients access to treatment, care and advice when they’ve needed it.

We know from your feedback from last year’s awards that recognising your colleagues’ achievements across the range of practice roles is important to you. That’s why this year, in addition to the usual clinical categories, there were awards categories for Treatment Coordinator of the Year and Receptionist of the Year. Hygienists and Therapists had their own category too.

The awards help us to recognise the importance that these roles have in the treatment and care of our patients and reflects our commitment to investing in these roles as part of making {my}dentist a great place to work and practise.

Thank you again for all of your hard work over the last 12 months and thank you for helping us to recognise the outstanding achievements of all of our colleagues.

NOMINATION GUIDELINES

What happens next?

You have until Friday 22 July to nominate in as many categories as you wish, providing as much information as possible within the set criteria and within the 300 word limit per category.

Our judges, made up of colleagues from a range of clinical and non-clinical roles, will be assessing the entries and choosing our winners. Shortlisted finalists will be announced in August with the 2022 {my}dentist Excellence Awards being held on Friday 14 October at Birmingham’s ICC as part of CLINCON22.

 

Why should you nominate?

We need you to nominate colleagues and clinicians for as many categories as you can, only you know how great your teams are! Whether it’s an exceptional Dentist, Receptionist, Therapist or Hygienist, we want to hear all about them!

 

How to nominate

Ensure you have read the category criteria. Decide which category/categories you wish to enter. Complete the nomination form for each nomination you wish to submit. Once you submit the nomination, you cannot amend it. If you plan to enter more than one nomination, you need to submit separate entries.

THE RULES

  • All entries must be submitted via our nomination form
  • Deadline for all nominations is Friday 22 July
  • All nominations must fit the criteria outlined. Any nominations received that don’t fit this criteria or contain the relevant evidence won’t be accepted
  • There is a 300-word limit per nomination
  • All entries must be based on activities undertaken between September 2021 and June 2022
  • You can submit nominations in more than one category, provided that each entry has been specifically written to address the relevant criteria
  • You can submit nominations for yourself, your team or you can nominate a colleague or another team

FAQs

‍Do I need to book a hotel?

All shortlisted nominees will have accommodation provided for them. You will need to amend your registration on the CLINCON22 event website to let us know which nights you need a hotel room for. Details are currently being finalised and hotel information will be provided as soon as possible.

I am a shortlisted nominee, do I need to attend the whole conference to come to the gala dinner?

You have the choice of which days you choose to attend. You can find details of what to expect on each day on the event website.

What do I get if I win?

 All shortlisted nominees will receive a recognition certificate. All category award winners will receive an award as well as a certificate of achievement.
